Up to now, pain therapy with highly effective medication such as morphines has always been restricted to in-patient treatment - too great was the danger of abuse or overdosing by patients in their home environment. In collaboration with the item Design and Development design office, the company Ing. Erich Pfeiffer GmbH has now developed a concept for a mobile pain medication dispenser, which enables self-medication also with morphines. For each individual patient, the treating physician programmes the period of time and the frequency of availability of the pain medication. An acoustic and a visual signal then indicate the open time window. Immediately after the dosage has been dispensed Lockout locks the device until the next open time window of access. The medication comes as a nose spray in a manual dispenser.
